Previous Work History
I ran my own millwork shop in New York City, where I designed and fabricated one-off furniture pieces and prototypes, frequently employing complicated fabrication methods including bent laminating. My corporate clients include Paula Cooper Gallery (reception desk and storage cabinets), The American Museum of the Moving Image (display cabinets), D.E. Shaw, and Bloomingdales (display cabinets). I fabricated cabinetry for residential and commercial clients and architects, including Walter Chatham, 1100 Architects, Ali Hocek, Ross Anderson, and Edgar Tafel.
I worked for and with several general contractors in New York City, learning about the logic and sequencing of high-end residential construction. I became adept at trades including masonry (traditional plastering), carpentry, and cabinet making, gaining an appreciation for fine craftsmanship.
